Activities Available:
Fishing, Hiking Trails, Mountain Biking, Pet Friendly, Rock Climbing, Swimming HolesThis old ranch now is a Travis County operated park with almost three miles of frontage on the Pedernales River, which is not bad at all for a county park. This is a great place for mountain biking and for a climbing expedition. This also is a good place to come out for hiking because in addition to all the river frontage there are 18 miles of trails for you to explore. One thing to remember about this park is that there is not a whole lot of shade out here so be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen. There also are many opportunities for swimming and fishing at this park when the water level is up, but be prepared to hike for a bit if you want to get away from the main area. Dogs are OK if kept on a leash.
