guadalupe river rv parkThis primarily is a RV park, but there is some tent camping allowed at the bluff overlooking the river, and it has over half a mile of river frontage available for fishing and swimming. This campground is right on the Guadalupe River at Specht’s Crossing. Across the river at Nichol’s Landing is a real good place to put in kayaks. You could paddle down from Guadalupe River State Park to here (~5 miles), or from here to the Big Foot campground (~ 6 miles). Be sure to contact the owners to talk about potential put in and take out points and associated fees before bringing the boats all the way out here. Take the Old Spring Branch Road west from Spring Branch to the campground which will be on the far side of the river when you are driving this way. Contact owners to see about taking your pooch to the campground.
