Brady Loop

Activities Available:

This loop primarily features sites located on the west side of Brady in proximity to the Brady Lake/Brady Creek Reservoir. Brady was settled in the mid-1800s and it is on the former Dodge Cattle Trail. Brady is known as being in the geographical center of Texas, although technically that spot is about 15 miles north of town. Begin by heading south on 87 from the center of Brady and then turn right onto 17th, which should turn into 2028.·Turn left onto CR 116 and follow it to CR 112.·At CR 112, turn right (north) and follow it to 2028 where you will turn right.·Stay on 2028 until you come to 3022/Lake Road where you will turn to the left. You might want to stop at the Brady Lake Store while you are out here. Ask them to tell you about the good fishing spots and campsites. ·3022 will wind around the north part of the lake and will then intersect with US Hwy 87.·Cross over the highway and follow that road and it will turn to the left. After making the left, you will want to turn right on CR 152. From this point on, just hope that the county has not replaced the numbered signs with the road name signs and you should be OK.·Follow 152 until you come to the intersection with CR 308 and turn to the left.·Do not turn off of 308 until you get to CR 346 where you will take a right and you will then cross over 504.·Stay on CR 346 until you come to CR 340 and then take a right.·Follow CR 340 to the intersection with 2635 at Lohn where it becomes CR 504 on the other side of 2635.·Follow CR 504 to US Hwy 283 where 504 becomes CR 312 on the other side of the 283.·Take CR 312 to intersection with CR 300/Old San Antonio Road where you will take a right and head back to Brady.
