Block Creek Natural Area

This natural area sits upon 400 acres on two ranches off of Old Highway No. 9 south of Fredericksburg. They have cleared most of the juniper/cedar off the property which means there typically is water flowing onsite. Those pesky junipers drink a lot of water and you really can tell the difference in stream flows when that have been eradicated. The water of course attracts many different species of wildlife making this a terrific place to go birding and critter viewing. They specialize in nature photography outings at this site. A guest house and a cabin are available, each sleeping 2, if you want to stay the night.
