The Dia de los Muertos event will be held at the Austin Mexican American Cultural Center on Saturday, and it is free and open to all ages. It will include an exhibition of altars (ofrendas), a community altar where guests can add their objects and pay respects to those loved ones who have passed on, and there will be children’s activities including sugar skull decorating and face painting. Also expect live music and dance performances, food trucks, and a vendor market.
