Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

This is what has to be one of the most beautiful campus-owned parks in Texas. The stunning San Marcos River flows through this park and it is a favorite place of students for sun bathing and swimming in the invigorating waters of the sprig-fed river. This portion of the river is on a number of top ten lists of swimming holes. This is a good place to practice your snorkeling technique because it is upstream from the Lion’s Club tube put in and the viz typically is great, but you might want to consider wearing a shorty. Because of all the tubers, this is not an ideal place to take your kayak even though we have seen several boats on the water during crowded conditions. Access to the park is at Aquarena Springs Drive and the river.
