Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

Take River Road/1623 a few miles west of Blanco and there will be a small turn out on the left side of the water where you could park and then go swimming in the beckoning Blanco River. If the water is too low here you could always go over to Blanco State Park, which is an inviting swimming hole that often makes it on to the top ten lists for the Hill Country. You will be pretty close to the Iron Horse if you are in the mood for some refreshments after playing in the water.
