Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

The camp is located between the 1st and 2nd crossings of River Road and the gorgeous Guadalupe River outside of New Braunfels and upstream from the Stairstep Rapids, Huaco Springs Rapids and Slumber Falls. Many campsites are right along the river making it easy to go swimming, and tubes, kayaks and rafts are available for rent. If you are going to be paddling or tubing through Huaco or Slumber be sure to ask for tips from the owners. Those spots on the river can be tricky at times. Also ask whether the trout are biting if you think you might want to do some fishing. Small pets are allowed on a leash. RV sites are available at this camp as well. Take 337 west from New Braunfels and turn right onto River Road at the Shell station and then turn right at Amigo Mel’s.
