rebecca creekThere is a real nice swimming hole above the crossing when the water is up, but you will have to park up on top of the hill and walk down a bit. Be careful when the water is up or else you could get swept downstream a bit.  This also is a great take out place for a kayak trip coming down from the 311 Crossing (~5 miles). Contact Bigfoot or Guadalupe Canoe and Livery or Guadalupe Canoe and Camping for river flow, kayak rental and put in and take out options. The portion of the Guad upstream from this crossing is a real nice place to go paddle, but be careful around Mueller Falls and Rust Falls or you could end up out of your boat. The horseshoe portion of Rust Falls that is about one-third of the way in from the left bank can be pretty tricky and most folks crash there. Dogs are OK if kept on a leash. You can also jump off of the bridge onto your tube and float down the river for a bit and then walk back upstream and do it again, and again, and again (at least if you are a kid you might be able to get away with doing that).
