Beer GardensCome on by and see the place purchased by Hondo Crouch, popularized by Jerry Jeff, and then immortalized by Waylon and Willie. The site serves as a beer joint, dance hall, and gathering place under the oaks. You can spend time over at the washer pit or see if anyone is playing at the outdoor stage if nothing is going on in the dance hall. Feel free to bring the dog, but please keep Toto on a leash because you don’t want your pooch chasing the chickens. Go ahead, be somebody, everybody else here is. From Hwy 290, take State Road 1376 south to the Luckenbach Town Loop and turn right. Many of the area street signs are now protected by metal frames so you should be able to find the place relatively easily.
