Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

This is a relatively little park located in Kerrville with good access to the Guadalupe River. The impoundment here creates a nice swimming spot and you should be able to rent a kayak here for some flat water paddling as well. The park is located off Thompson Drive at Hwy 16 South and can be used for swimming, floating and fishing. Some times the TPWD stocks this area with trout. Dogs are OK if kept on a leash. If you would like a drink you could drive over to the Back Porch Cantina to hang out on their deck and watch the Guadalupe River flow by when you are finished at the park.
