Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

This is a terrific location in the Sabinal River Canyon right on the Sabinal River and it is available for hiking and camping. The park is especially gorgeous typically from mid-October to mid-November when the leaves of the Uvalde Bigtooth Maple trees become spectacularly saturated with their fall foliage colors. There are superb opportunities for nature photography at this 2,174-acre park. Black-Capped Vireo and Golden-Cheeked Warbler nest and feed in the park in spring and early summer. There is also a nice swimming hole onsite if you are coming out during the warm months.
