Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

This campground and swimming area sits on 423 acres with 3.5 miles of river frontage on the Nueces River – that’s a lot of river frontage on this stupendous stream. You could even take a short kayak trip from one end to the other. There are cliffs adjacent to the river, which is spring fed and shade is provided by pecan trees hundreds of years old. Sounds nice doesn’t it? Hiking and mountain biking trails also are available. It is located about 40 miles north of Uvalde on State Hwy 55. RV sites are available onsite. Contact the Clear Creek Outfitters to get river flow information and some other ideas about put in and take out points if you want to go paddling. They also can rent you a kayak.
