Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

This is a privately owned 1,200-acre ranch where you could go for some sport clay shooting, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, tubing and swimming. There is about 1.5 miles of Guadalupe River frontage at the ranch so there are plenty of opportunities to play on the water, but contact the owners to inquire about site availabiity before coming out for a visit. They also can put you up for the night if you want to make a weekend of it. The Welfare Cafe and Biergarten is up this way if you are looking for a swell place to sit outside and watch the storm clouds roll in. Take the 533 exit off of IH 10 heading north from Boerne and then jump on the Waring-Welfare Road. You will need to turn right onto Cravey Road and that should take you to the ranch.
