This is a superb “honky tonk café” as it bills itself and it is located in Helotes on the Old Bandera Road. Yes, Willie really has played here numerous times as have many, many others. In fact, Willie still plays here ever now and again. The next time you hear Shotgun Willie try to figure out who the John T is in that song. The store can be a real fun place to hang out and listen to music so be sure to check their schedule to see who will be playing while your are in the vicinity. You could do a lot worse than spending the afternoon at Medina Lake and then heading over to the store for some nighttime fun.
