Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

Not much to look at from the street, but it has a nice swimming and floating area created by a small dam once you walk down to the river. Coming from Kerrville on State Hwy 39 look for the Whataburger on the left side of the road. The park entrance is a little further on the left and is close to the Wells Fargo Bank. Contact Kerrville Kayak for information if you are considering using this area for a paddling trip.  Although this is a nice big pool most of the time that is good for swimming and floating, there is not much shade down by the water.  Another nearby option is going for a swim at the Ingram Dam where you also could do some dam sliding — try not to break your arm.
