Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

You read that name correctly, it is an insurance agency (aka Rock Bottom Kayaks). This shop is located right on the square in Mason and they rent kayaks for use on the Llano River, which is a superb stream to paddle when the water is up.  You should have the river all to your self because not many people head out this way to go paddling.  Ask the folks in the office what they think about the various runs out by the park and other locations, whether you can get them to shuttle you, and how much they charge for paddler’s coverage.  Be sure to call before you come out so you can check on kayak availability, water levels and shuttles.  When you finish paddling you could head over to the Old Peanut Mill for some drinks if that suits you.
