Activities Available:
Cabins and Other Lodgings, Camping, Kayak Trails, Pet Friendly, River Outfitters, Swimming Holes, Tube Rental ServicesThis site offers pecan tree shaded unimproved camping, swimming and canoe, kayak, raft and tube rentals for use on the gorgeous Guadalupe. Always take the kayak over the canoe and don’t let anyone try to talk you into paddling a tandem kayak. All of the Guadalupe from around Bergheim to Rebecca Creek Road can be really swell for paddling because you do not have to worry with all of the tubing traffic found in the Lower Guad during high season. RV sites also are available if you do not care to tent camp. You can use this for a take out for a short 4 mile paddle trip down from Nichol’s Landing or as a put in point for a very fun 6 mile trip down to Rebecca Creek Road. Be sure to ask for tips as to how to stay in your boat at Mueller Falls and Rust Falls if you will be heading downstream. There are chutes to the left of both of the falls if that suits you. After your paddling trip you could pop over to the Shade Tree Saloon if you want to get a beverage. Pets on a leash are ok. This campground is located ΒΌ mile north of the Guadalupe River Bridge on Hwy 281. If you prefer, they can hook you up with some cabin rentals.
