Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

This is a nice play area on the gorgeous Guadalupe at the new bridge and you can get in a little swimming as well when the water is up, but be careful of that current. Lots of people are going to be at this crossing because it is the home of some of the more popular tube rental places on the river. You could also use this as a put in spot for a short (~3 mile) paddle or float trip down to Cypress Bend Park in New Braunfels. There should not be nearly as many tubers downstream of this bridge as there are floating upstream. Rockin R is located at the bridge and they can give you river flow information and they also can rent you tubes or kayaks. From IH 35 on the north side of New Braunfels, take the 337 Loop and turn right onto Gruene Road. Bubba’s is right there at the bridge as well if you would like a beverage after spending time at the river.
