Birding and Bat Watching, Hiking Trails, Mountain Biking, Pet Friendly, Wildlife and WildflowersThe primary activities available to the outdoor enthusiast at this 8,622-acre natural area are hiking and nature viewing. Dogs are OK if kept on a leash. There are several nice scenic overlooks and a stand of oak trees covered in Spanish moss and we have heard a band of gnomes lives in the park. You also can do some mountain biking here. Afterwards you could drive over to Medina Lake or Guadalupe River State Park if you wanted to get in some water recreation time. To get to the natural area, take State Road 471 west from Loop 1604 and turn right and park is pm Galm Rd.
