Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

This crossing has only a little bit of parking under the bridge, but it is on a pretty nice stretch of the Blanco River outside of Wimberley, when the water is up that is. However, this spot can be a nice swimming hole and a very pleasant paddle trip when the conditions are favorable. In fact, it was named as one of the twenty best places to paddle in the state by Texas Monthly. However, you will need to take care when you are taking out because there are very few public areas available. We suggest taking out at the crossing located close to 7A Resort just outside of Wimberley. It is about an eight mile paddle trip.
