Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

This park is located just downstream of dam #8 on the Guadalupe River inside of New Braunfels where you could go to swim or float around on the water. This is one of those unassuming, little parks on a nice stretch of the river used primarily by locals to escape the heat during those warm months. From IH 35, head north on 46/Loop 337 and turn left onto E. Common Street. The park will be on the left side of the road just before you get to the river. Pat’s Place is nearby if you want some refreshments and the folks at Corner Tubes can give you river flow information if you need it. You also could use this park as a put in for a short paddle trip on pretty flat water down to Camp Comal about 3-3.5 miles away.
