Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

This area isn’t in the Hill Country per se, but the San Marcos River is a beautiful little stream that originates on the southern edge of the Hill Country and it has been a favorite of locals for thousands and thousands of years. These folks will rent you a tube so you can float down the San Marcos River to Don’s Fish Camp. This isn’t nearly as busy of a tubing area as you will find in San Marcos and it is a real pretty stretch of the river, but you should know that Don’s can get fairly crowded.  From San Marcos, head east on Highway 80 and take a right onto county road 103. You will take another right off of 103 to the Fish Camp, just keep an eye out for the sign.
