Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

Hooray for forward thinking people. The Dahlstrom family recently announced that they sold the development rights to their ranch to governmental entities. What that means is that instead of 8,000 homes being located on this environmentally sensitive tract the public will have access to the 2,252-acre property, which is about five miles west of Buda. The initial plans are by the end of 2009 to open up about 375 acres to the public on this site that has several Edwards Aquifer recharge features on it.
