Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

Over 5,000 acres of parkland that includes a boat ramp and swimming area. This is a very large park. The park also is known for its yellow catfish. Leashed pets are permitted. From Bandera, take State Hwy 16 east to Pipe Creek and turn right (south) on to State Road 1283. Turn right (west) on to Park Road 37 and head towards the lake. Jim’s Rebait should be on the left side of the road after you pass the Volunteer Fire Department if you need some bait. You could come here after taking a morning horseback ride in Bandera. The Dancing Bear is located fairly close by on the east side of the lake if you want to grab a cold one after hanging out at the park.
