Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

A longtime favorite of Austinianites, this 1,500-acre park has about a mile of shoreline along the beautiful grassy shores of the Colorado River on Lake Austin. Camping, swimming and hiking trails are available for your use. There is also a 9 mile mountain bike course at the park that you could use to get warm enough to want to take a dip, but it will be pretty challenging for beginners. Dogs on a leash are OK. Heading west on FM 2222 from Austin, take a left onto City Park Road. RV sites also available.
