Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

The park is located on the enticing Nueces River outside of Bracketville and features a superb cliff near the water, and 2 miles of river frontage. Rentals of canoes, tubes, kayaks, bikes, fishing poles and horses are available if you want to do more than just lounge around in the water. They also offer a shuttle service if you are going tubing or paddling down this pretty stretch of the river. There also is a store located onsite and there are trails for hiking and mountain biking. If the fish you are trying to catch go after worms they should have some of them for you at the store. One bedroom cabins with a bath, and RV sites are available as well. Pets on a leash are ok. From Uvalde head north on Hwy 83 for two miles and turn left (west) onto Hwy 55. Travel 15 miles and entrance is on the left.
