Enjoy the Texas Hill Country

If you are way out on the western edge of the Hill Country you should consider heading over to these “growing” caverns located west of Sonora. You can come here to view the beautiful caverns, to do some camping, and to hike on the nature trail or even do some sluicing for gems. When is the last time you sluiced for anything? You can bring your dog with you as well, but the pooch has to remain on a leash because this is a working ranch and you don’t want fido messing with the livestock. From Sonora, head west on IH 10 and take the 392 exit and turn left on RM 1989, follow it for about 6 miles and look for the signs.
