Activities Available:
Cabins and Other Lodgings, Camping, Fishing, Kayak Trails, Pet Friendly, Swimming Holes, Tube Rental ServicesThis 40 acre campground has a half mile of frontage on the fabulously frosty Frio River if you are looking for a place to go swimming or fishing. They also have a store onsite in case you forgot to pack everything you need for the weekend. But wait, there’s more. They also have some small cabins onsite and some spaces for RVs if you are not in the mood for tent camping. Pets on a leash are ok at this facility. The Frio is a fantastic little spring-fed river/creek so be sure to come out to this area some time when the water is up so you can enjoy one of the most refreshing streams in the state. You could take about a 4 mile paddle trip downstream to the Third Crossing but be careful when you get to the waterfalls along the route or you might end up out of your boat. Be sure to ask the site owners whether there are any hydraulics you need to be concerned about at the falls. They also rent tubes here in case you want to float down the river. From 83, turn onto county road 350 and follow it for about 2 miles to the campground.
