The park is not as heavily used as some of the other parks on the lake and it offers primitive camping, swimming, fishing and there is a shaded campground located along a bluff. There is a pretty nice view of the lake from some of the campsites. There also are two big coves and a fair amount of cliffs at this park, but be careful if you jump into the water because you could smash yourself to pieces if you hit a rock or some other obstruction. Don’t scoff, it has happened before. Dogs on a leash are OK at this park. From Highway 183, take FM 1431 south for 11 miles to Lohmans Ford Road. Turn left on Lohmans Ford Road and go 4 1/2 miles to Sylvester Ford Road. Turn left on Sylvester Ford Road then go 1 1/2 miles to the park entrance.
