From US Highway 377 heading east from Junction, turn to the right on CR 314 near Teacup and follow the road down to the river. You will turn at the red guard rail fence. This crossing is a put in point for a 5.5 mile kayak trip to State Road 385 at the Yates Crossing. It is probably a good idea to first check with the Junction area outfitters to see what they have to say about running this stretch of the South Llano River because the conditions are not always favorable (Meacham's, and Used to be Sonny's are two of them). They can rent you some kayaks and help you with alternative put in and take out locations as well. An alternative spot is the Junction City Park if there is not enough water at the crossing for your liking. Lum's is relatively close by if you want to grab a beer after your stay here.
